100% Fully Remote STA Level 2 Pool Water Treatment course 100% Remote learning and assessment through Zoom, Course date: 16th December 2025 via Zoom 09.00-16.30 Course includes manual, tutor led training, certification and assessment fees. The course provides the theory and practical behind pool and spa water testing, as well as providing learners with information on best practice principles and information on health, safety and legal responsibilities. The STA Award in Swimming Pool Water Treatment covers:  Understanding the sources of pollution and control measure  Understanding basic principles of pool water filtration and backwashing  Understanding the key features of a swimming pool circulation system  Understanding the potential dangers and hazards associated with suction entrapment and entanglement  Understanding the role and purpose of disinfectants in swimming pools  Understanding the pH scale, its function and related water terminology  Understanding the basic principles of water testing, recording and interpretation leading to corrective action  Understanding the importance of COSHH. The course is based on zoom (class room based) to ensure learners have the skills and theoretical knowledge necessary for the role. Candidate requirements: Candidates must have a stable internet connection, and access to a webcam and audio, Candidates must have access to a Pool Water Testing Photometer or Comparator to undertake a practical demonstration on PH, free Cl2 and Total CL2.
