Course includes tutor led training, certification and assessment fees. The STA Legionella Competent Person Course is an unregulated, 4-hour qualification designed to train individuals, such as facility managers, to manage Legionella risks in workplace water systems. It covers risk assessment, monitoring, and legal compliance (e.g., ACoP L8), aiming to ensure safe water hygiene, valid for 3 years. Key Aspects of the STA Legionella Competent Person Course Purpose: To train individuals responsible for managing water systems to identify, prevent, and control Legionella risks, complying with UK safety legislation. Content: The course covers understanding Legionella transmission, legal obligations, practical monitoring, risk assessment, and implementing control measures. Target Audience: Ideal for facility managers, duty holders, and staff involved in maintenance, testing, or checking water systems. Assessment & Certification: Involves a 4-hour minimum training time with a multiple-choice assessment at the end. The certificate is valid for 3 years. Candidate requirements: Candidates must have a stable internet connection, and access to a webcam and audio. Candidates must also be a minimum of 16 years of age.
